About Us
Matthew Lacy
Matthew Lacy is the founder of Cross Kulture Community Development, he is from Smyrna Georgia. At the age of three, Matthew began singing in the First Baptist Church of Smyrna children’s choir and continued his music education at The Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts. Matthew has performed in choirs around the world; most notably singing at Carnegie Hall in New York City. He uses his gift of music to cross cultural boundaries and to gain access into communities around the world. Matthew’s most memorable experience was being adopted into the Griot community of southern Senegal where he was a student of local Senegalese music and culture.
Matthew graduated from Palmer Theological Seminary in Saint David’s Pennsylvania with an emphasis on missions. He and his wife live in Wayne Pennsylvania; their son is studying film and screenwriting at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Matthew and his family attend
Dr. Eilyn Lacy
Eilyn Lacy was born in the Dominican Republic. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Phd in Biochemistry; she completed her postdoctoral studies at St. Judes Children’s research hospital in Memphis Tennessee. She has taught science at the highest level. She is currently a Senior Principal Scientist in the Biopharmaceutical industry in research and development. Eilyn has a love, passion, and gift for teaching children. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Aleyamma Ruju
At Faith Children's Home, we provide orphans with the care and love they need to develop into responsible and successful adults. Our team is led by Dr. Aleyamma Raju, who has been working in the field of Education for over 40 years. Her strong leadership has allowed the orphanage to grow in quality and overall performance. We are committed to helping all of our children reach their full potential, and provide a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and grow.
Abib Mathew
At the age of nine, an African missionary was visiting India and spoke at Abib’s church; the missionary gave an alter call and Abib responded. The missionary prayed for Abib so that one day he may have the opportunity to serve the people of Africa.
After graduating high school, Abib joined a bible college where he received his Bachelors of Theology and went on to earn his Masters of Divinity. It took 18 years for the vision to come to pass; however, in 2010, Abib joined Cross Kulture Community Development where he served together with Matthew Lacy working among the Fulakunda in Southern Senegal.
Abib’s Father founded Faith Bible College and Orphanage in Badlapur India, Raju Mathew was promoted to glory in 2016. When Abib’s father passed, he took over the responsibilities at the Bible College. Abib is continuing his fathers vision of training under qualified young men and woman from rural villages and sends them back as native missionaries to reach their own people.
